A report by HHS in the journal Health Affairs projects that 11 million uninsured people in the U.S. will get health coverage next year, a steep decline from last year's estimate of approximately 22 million. The Supreme Court decision that gave states leeway to decide whether to expand Medicaid was the largest factor in that change. Health care spending is expected to increase 6.1%, lower than the previously projected 7.4%.
