The Community Cultivation program in Steamboat Springs, Colo., provides vocational education and life skills for youth with disabilities as a bridge between school and work. It has garden beds at the Yampa River Botanic Park, sells its produce at a farmers market and has a new greenhouse for year-around services. "They're learning how to work, then get along with peers, which is very hard for a child with disabilities sometimes," said Lu Etta Loeber, Yampa Valley Autism Program's executive director.
