Imgur is reporting 100 million unique monthly visitors and 1 million daily uploads of its shareable images. Chief Operating Officer Matt Strader says the nascent advertising program is also outperforming "industry norms in every respect," and boasts Sony Playstation, Paramount, GE and Virgin among the site's sponsors. A sponsored-content play for "Grand Theft Auto V" garnered 7,000 social interactions, Strader says. "We want to keep a high bar for sponsored content because it will be featured alongside the other most popular image content on the Web," Strader said. "[O]ur focus is on partnering with brands that care about content and are looking for new marketing outlets to be creative."
