Intel on Tuesday introduced the Quark X1000 line, low-power processors aimed at applications in headset computers, smartwatches and other wearable electronics. Intel President Renee James said the chipmaker would provide connections to the Quark intellectual property to third parties for integrating with their product designs. Meanwhile, Intel also introduced the Xeon E5-2600 v2 line of processors for servers, some models of which have a dozen processor cores.
