Microsoft has launched a new free service that allows Web application developers to test JavaScript frameworks across a variety of browsers and operating systems. With the service, dubbed BrowserSwarm, developers can provide a link to their code repositories on GitHub and get an automatic scan that creates recommendations for making JavaScript libraries more efficient. "We see a lot of innovation [in Web development] related to 3D graphics or animations, but we don't see a lot of innovation on the testing side, and so that is where we wanted to help," said Microsoft senior product manager Justin Garrett.
