One of Noble Energy's deepwater wells in the Gulf of Mexico has struck hydrocarbons, the company announced. The Troubadour exploratory well, which was drilled 19,510 feet, holds up to 100 million barrels of oil equivalent. The find is expected to add "significant development opportunity" to Noble Energy's operations in the Gulf, said Susan Cunningham, the company's senior vice president of exploration and business innovation.
