The financial-advisory industry is fighting over existing talent when it could benefit from training new advisers, according to a white paper from Pershing. Only 7% of college students have an interest in working as an adviser, the white paper says. "It is critically important for the industry to better educate students about the benefits of pursuing a career in the advisory business," said Kim Dellarocca of Pershing.
