More high-school students in Tennessee are completing college-math requirements before they graduate, thanks to $1.1 million from the state's governor to help fund a partnership between schools and community colleges. More than 100 high schools and all 13 of the state's community colleges are participating in the program that gives high-school students who are at risk of needing remedial math in college access to math labs, where they can complete remedial math plus credit-bearing math courses.
