Most TVs will come equipped with technology next year that will allow viewers to interact with programming in real-time via a live two-way transfer of data between the smart sets and the networks, said the head of Cognitive Networks, whose Automatic Content Recognition technology powers the service. Showtime and LG Electronics recently said that LG sets would support the two-way SHO Sync service, and Cognitive CEO Michael Collette said he expects 20 million connected TVs will have ACR built in by 2015.
