Facebook is focusing on an expansion of the social network's original Canvas concept, CEO Mark Zuckerberg told an audience at TechCrunch Disrupt SF. "We have three pillars of the platform strategy which are: build, grow and monetize," he said. The company has developed this strategy via moves such as purchasing back-end-as-a-service provider Parse and by developing its mobile platform for advertising. "A lot of developers are starting to rely on us as the primary way they grow their apps. ... If we can help the industry overall build better apps, then I'm happy," Zuckerberg said.
