Aging-in-place technology such as family-locator services, elder-care tech and home monitoring are poised to take off in the next three to four years, Laurie Orlov writes, which should "give everyone time to overcome barriers that hamstring utilization today." One step that remains is how to make sure the users of these technologies have their concerns addressed and are made aware of the technologies' benefits, Orlov writes.
