Google is breaking away from its usual ad model by signing an upfront deal with Publicis-owned MediaVest that involves YouTube, websites and mobile applications. The deal reportedly includes tens of millions in spending from MediaVest clients such as Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola and Honda, and it runs for multiple quarters. "This new partnership truly enables MediaVest to realize the promise of online video at scale, which has been talked about but rarely realized," said MediaVest's Christine Merrifield.
