Instagram will start photo and video ad campaigns as early as next week, and the social network sent out a sample ad to users on Thursday to prep them for the look. The ad will get a further rollout in the "coming week" and will feature a "Sponsored" note, the company said. Instagram's "approach to monetizing the platform is so careful you could almost characterize it as curatorial," said Rebecca Lieb, a digital advertising and media analyst at Altimeter Group.
