Insurance-linked securities funds had their strongest month of the year in September on the back of a quiet hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean, according to industry data. "The extraordinarily quiet North Atlantic hurricane season with only two category 1 hurricanes until the end of September led to a continuation of the uptrend in secondary market cat-bond prices primarily for U.S. hurricane cat bonds, on relatively small trading volumes," said Stefan Kräuchi, founder of ILS Advisers.
