The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service said possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes prompted Boston Salads and Provisions to recall around 222,959 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken salad products. The affected products, distributed to wholesalers who supply retail locations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, were manufactured between Aug. 23 and Oct. 14. Packaging or case labels may carry the establishment number P-17999, with sell-by dates from 9/13/2013 through 11/4/2013.
