A National Disability Rights Network report found 89 of 94 Amtrak stations its advocates visited in 25 states and the District of Columbia had access problems for people with disabilities. Problems included inaccessible restrooms, train platforms and ticket counters. Amtrak spokesman Steve Kulm said improvements were made to more than 200 stations in the past four years but noted that one problem is that Amtrak owns only a small number of the train stations it services.
