AT&T is said to be laying out a complex plan to potentially acquire Vodafone Group next year, according to Bloomberg Businessweek, which notes that AT&T has not begun formal talks with the U.K-based carrier. Instead, AT&T has reportedly begun preparing a post-acquisition strategy for disposing of and retaining Vodafone's assets as well developing a plan for its European operations if a deal materializes. Vodafone and AT&T are not commenting on the report, which notes there is no guarantee AT&T will move forward on the possible bid.
