Enterprises are already reaping the financial rewards of adopting Big Data analytics strategies, but they could do even better with strong advocacy from the C-suite, a new study suggests. The report from IBM's Institute for Business Value finds that 40% of companies saw a return on their analytics investment within six months of adoption, but a lack of executive engagement threatens to deny the initiatives much-needed budgetary support. "In order to unlock the value of data, organizations need to identify different C-suite champions to get fully behind the use of analytics," said IBM Global Business Services' Fred Balboni.
