More than 44 million Americans make money outside of their primary income, and 36% of those who make extra money every month are making $500 or more, according to a study from Bankrate. People between the ages of 18 and 26 are the most likely to have a side hustle, but those from 53 to 62 years old are most likely to make $1,000 or more each month from their side work.
