Students at a Hawaii charter school used Google Hangouts to connect with the crew of Hōkūleʻa, the Native Hawaiian double-hulled canoe that makes voyages around the world, to learn about global community and environmental sustainability. After a conversation about sources of knowledge with crew member "Uncle Billy," one student said that he realized how his "actions can be a source of life to someone else."
